brrrrlin

Well, my first venture out of London was a bit of a bust (we're trying to keep it a secret because it makes us sound lame). So like the good blogger that I am, I'm posting it all over the internet.

Unfortunately, what we failed to think about before we left for the not-so-cozy city was how cold cold can be. Most of the time we spent dreading going outside because we know how sad our fingers and toes would be within a few minutes.

I saw some sites, yes. But I will never go back to Berlin in the wintertime. And I suggest you do (or I guess don't do) the same thing. Believe me. Unless you enjoy your breath turning to ice on your scarf, your three or four thick layers not being enough, and never wanting to leave your hostel.

Berlin's lovely little winter managed to get me really sick. Sad. But I'm not letting that get me down. We've decided to use this trip to teach us how to make smarter traveling decisions. My adventures will continue!

So here are some of the things we did while in the arctic winter of Berlin for you to enjoy from the comfort of your own warm home:

Checkpoint Charlie

Hadn't lost our spunk yet

The Holocaust Memorial

The Brandenburg Gate

The corner of the Reichstag

Performer on the Underground

this is how I feel about the cold

Some art from the East Side Gallery

We're leaving! (we were singing the Rocky theme song at this point)
